Unmanned Vehicles Bringing New Business to AML

AML Communications will supply parts for use in the radar of unmanned aircraft to be built by Northrop Grumman. The Camarillo-based firm valued the pre-production order for microwave amplifiers at $220,000. The unmanned aerial vehicle market is a growth opportunity for AML, the company having announced earlier in the year a $2.2 million contract to supply parts for another unmanned program. “These orders bode well for our long-term strategy to deliver microwave solutions to the UAV marketplace,” said AML President and CEO Jacob Inbar. “Pentagon reports indicate that unmanned aircraft such as Predators, Global Hawks, Shadows and Ravens fill important military needs, and are forecasted to be a critical part of our nation’s military strategy for the foreseeable future.” Mark R.
