Microelectronic assemblies manufacturer AML Communications Inc. has been awarded a $3.7 million contract to supply parts for unmanned aerial vehicles. The contract with a first tier defense contractor is part of the Camarillo-based company’s strategy to get business in the growing unmanned vehicle market. “Going forward, products for a number of new programs are currently being developed or have been developed and are expected to enter the production phase,” Said AML President and CEO Jacob Inbar. AML is the sole source supplier for the integrated microwave assemblies, a recognition of its reputation for high performance and quality, Inbar said.
