Online marketing firm ReachLocal Inc. will participate in the testing of a new Facebook site offering discount deals from businesses. The trial demonstrates the ability of the Woodland Hills-based company to source and syndicate deals from local businesses to publishers such as Facebook. The test will take place in the San Diego market. ReachLocal entered the daily deals business in February with its purchase of DealOn, a networking operating in 18 markets in the U.S. The Facebook Deals site will allow visitors to get discount coupons for restaurants, shows, retailers and other businesses from Facebook and its partner services, which included ReachLocal. “As San Diego-area businesses look for new marketing opportunities and new customers via local deals, we are excited to now offer deals on Facebook,” said CEO and Co-Founder Zorik Gordon.
