Galpin Subaru in Santa Clarita recently hosted a grand opening. The dealership takes over the space that had been occupied by Galpin’s Saturn dealership until it was closed last year. Subaru was chosen as the replacement because of the well-known quality of the cars, said Joe Ferezy, the general manager. “It would also complement what Galpin does really well,” Ferezy said. About 5,000 people turned out for the grand opening Oct. 8, which included carnival games, food booths, go-karts from MB2 Raceway and display of customized cars from Galpin Auto Sports. “It was a full blown party,” Ferezy said. “Santa Clarita is a very family based community and we wanted to do a family oriented set up and grand opening.” The Subaru dealership is part of Galpin Motors, based in North Hills. — Mark R.
