Chamber Prepares for First-Time Trip to Cuba

The Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce announced it will be visiting Cuba in October. The island, which has been closed to U.S. travelers since a 1960 embargo enacted after Cuba nationalized all U.S. property, has been open to certain registered guests of programs like that of the chamber since the embargo was partially lifted by President Obama. The cost to attend the trip is $3,799, which covers airfare, a Cuban travel visa, Cuban health insurance, hotel accommodations, meals, sightseeing, a professional Cuban bilingual guide and other expenses.
