Valley Pizza Chain to Open Burbank Location

PizzaRev, a small fast-growing San Fernando Valley restaurant chain that offers quick made-to-order pizzas, will open later this year in Burbank. The Studio City company announced that a spot on 301 N. San Fernando Blvd. will be its fourth outlet. It already has locations in Northridge, Woodland Hills and Studio City. Irv Zuckerman, co-chief executive of PizzaRev, said the company had been looking for a location in Burbank for nearly a year. “There is a great energy in this part of town with its many restaurants, shopping and entertainment options,” he said in a statement. PizzaRev is distinguished by a food-assembly operation similar to a Chipotle Mexican Grill and employs high-temperature fast-cook ovens. Each 11-inch pizza is prepared in about three minutes and sells for a flat rate of $7.95. In addition, the company announced plans to add locations in Oxnard and El Segundo this summer. The rapid expansion comes a few months after the company received an equity investment from Buffalo Wild Wings Inc., the massive sports bar chain from Minneapolis. Buffalo Wild Wings operates 900 restaurants, including franchises, in 49 states and Canada.
