An executive from Crown Media Holdings Inc. rang the opening bell at the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square on Wednesday. The Studio City company, which owns cable TV’s Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel, sent a delegation to New York for the bell-ringing. Ed Georger, executive vice president of advertising sales at Crown, pushed the button to ring the bell for the automated stock exchange. Shares of Crown Media closed up 5 cents or 1.5 percent Wednesday to $3.28 in trading on the Nasdaq.
