XCOR Aerospace has acquired a Dutch company that will handle the sales for upcoming suborbital flights aboard the Lynx space vehicle, it was announced Monday. Financial terms of the deal between XCOR in Mojave and Space Expedition Corp. in Amsterdam were not disclosed. The new subsidiary has been renamed XCOR Space Expeditions. Lynx is a two-seat suborbital spaceship XCOR is developing and building at the Mojave Air & Space Port. It is designed to carry tourists, scientists or small payloads into space. Prior to the acquisition, Space Expedition had been the general sales agent for XCOR in booking flights aboard the Lynx. The subsidiary will continue in that role as well as establishing commercial partnerships and training for Lynx passengers. “With their sales and marketing engine now a part of the XCOR brand, we deepen the connection between customers and Lynx,” XCOR Chief Executive Jeff Greason said in a prepared statement.
