Superior Industries Names Co-CEOs

Two executive vice presidents have been named as interim co-chief executives at Superior Industries International Inc., the aluminum wheel manufacturer announced on Thursday. Michael J. O’Rourke and Kerry A. Shiba have been named to replace Steven J. Borick, who is retiring as chief executive and chairman of the Van Nuys company on March 31. The company is currently interviewing candidates for a permanent successor. “Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our employees, I am retiring at a time when Superior is healthy and postured for long-term growth,” said Borick, in a prepared statement. O’Rourke joined Superior in 1987 and has been an executive vice president since 2008 overseeing marketing, sales and operational functions. Shiba has been with Superior about four years and is the chief financial officer. Margaret S. Dano was named to succeed Borick as chairman of Superior. She has served on the board since 2007 and as lead director since 2010. Shares in Superior closed down 9 cents, or less than 1 percent, to $19.96 on the Nasdaq.
