Leadership Change at Hospital in Lancaster

Lex Reddy will serve as interim chief executive and Pam Hinson as the new chief operating officer for Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster. Reddy is currently chief executive of Alecto Healthcare Services LLC, a health care management company based in Irvine. He will hold the hospital’s top position until a permanent chief executive is found. Hinson also works for Alecto, as the company’s corporate director of revenue services. In addition, she served as Antelope Valley Hospital’s vice president of business, revenue and patient care coordination from 2007 to 2014 and was also the hospital’s interim chief executive in 2013. Last month, Antelope Valley Hospital entered into a management agreement with Alecto, and since then Reddy has been working on designing and implementing a new operational plan to increase efficiency at the hospital. Dennis Knox, former chief executive at the hospital, resigned in July, citing personal reasons. Former chief operating officer Jack Burke has been serving as interim chief executive in his place. Dr. Doddanna Krishna, chairman of the Antelope Valley Healthcare District board of directors, commented on the personnel change in a prepared statement: “In the short time they have been on board, Lex and his team have already displayed a keen understanding of the challenges facing our hospital and of the important role we play as the center of health care in the Antelope Valley.” The new appointments were announced earlier this week by the health care board.
