Briefs: Warner Music, Interlink Electronics

The assets of Frank Gari Productions and Gari Communications in Westlake Village have been acquired by a unit of Warner Music Group. Gari owns catalogs of music for television newscasts, including the Eyewitness News theme, and the NBC Collection heard on local news broadcasts in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and other markets. They were acquired by Warner/Chappell Production Music, a Nashville company with a diverse catalog of music for television dramas, films, media companies, commercials and professional sports. “I look forward to offering our clients an even wider array of first-class music, and to working with the talented Gari team to soundtrack fantastic television,” said Warner/Chappell Chief Executive Randy Wachtler in a prepared statement. Terms of the deal announced this week were not disclosed. Interlink Electronics Inc. announced Wednesday that it is adding new sales agents for its sensor-technology products. Fahrner-Miller Associates, in Santa Clara, will handle sales in northern California and northern Nevada. Elimec Electromechanical Engineering, in Rishon LeZion, Israel, will manage sales in Israel and India. Interlink makes touchpads and computer mouse products for rugged environments, such as oil refineries, automobile assembly lines and machine shops. It also serves the medical-device market. “These new strategic relationships will make Interlink’s products more accessible to an even wider customer base while providing local technical and application support,” said Interlink Chief Executive Steve Bronson, in a prepared statement. Shares closed down 20 cents, or more than 1 percent, in over-the-counter trading.
