SeaPort Airline Expands Burbank Service

SeaPort Airlines Inc. announced Wednesday it would expand service from Burbank Bob Hope Airport to the San Joaquin Valley, which will provide passengers easier access to the state capitol. Flights between Burbank and Visalia Municipal Airport will begin Feb. 9 with 12 nonstop flights during the week using Cessna 208 Caravan turboprop aircraft. The Portland, Ore.-based air carrier currently offers three weekday flights between Burbank and Imperial County Airport in El Centro and six weekday flights between Burbank and San Diego International Airport. SeaPort President Rob McKinney said Visalia is a key transportation hub serving Sacramento. “Visalia Municipal Airport will be the only commercial service airport in the San Joaquin Valley with nonstop flights to the state capitol,” he said in a prepared statement. SeaPort also provides service in Alaska, Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas, Missouri, Oregon, Tennessee and Texas.
