Briefs: Teledyne, Interlink, AV Healthcare District

Teledyne Technologies Inc. has acquired a Belgian company that makes X-ray products for inspecting pipelines, cargo and suspicious objects. Terms of the deal between the Thousand Oaks aviation, marine and energy products manufacturer and Industrial Control Machines SA., in Liege, were not disclosed. Industrial Control makes X-ray devices used for inspecting materials and structures including light-alloy aviation parts, steel pipelines, suspicious objects and cargo. “The acquisition of ICM accelerates Teledyne’s efforts to provide a full family of specialized X-ray products serving industrial, security and scientific markets,” said Chief Executive Robert Mehrabian in a prepared statement. Shares closed up $1.57, or 1.6 percent, to $103.03 on the New York Stock Exchange. Interlink Electronics Inc. has appointed Tracy Kern as its chief financial officer. Kern comes to the Westlake Village manufacturer after serving as corporate controller for Vitesse Semiconductor Corp., in Camarillo, and as chief financial officer for Chad Therapeutics, a medical device company formerly in Chatsworth. Interlink Chief Executive Steve Bronson said that part of Kern’s goals will be to get the company’s shares relisted on a national market. “Tracy brings significant financial and operational expertise, and is an instrumental addition to Interlink’s long-term growth strategy,” Bronson said in a prepared statement. Interlink makes touchpads and computer-mouse products for rugged environments, such as oil refineries, automobile assembly lines and machine shops. It also serves the medical-device market. Shares closed up 25 cents, or 3.1 percent, to $8.25 in over-the-counter trading. The board of directors at Antelope Valley Healthcare District has elected Dr. Doddanna Krishna as chairman. Krishna, a specialist in pulmonary medicine, critical care and sleep disorders, has served on the board since 2013. He was chief of medical staff at the district’s Antelope Valley Hospital between 2002 and 2012, and has practiced medicine in the region since 1989. Krishna succeeds Dr. Mukund Shah, who remains a member of the board. Krishna was elected chairman at the board’s meeting on May 27. The district announced the new leadership structure on Thursday.
