Ice cream chain Baskin-Robbins opened its 8,000th store in Thousand Oaks on July 25. The store, located at 2839 E Thousand Oaks Blvd., will hold a grand opening event on Aug. 25 featuring a ribbon cutting ceremony and $1.50 scoop deals. “I’m so excited to be opening the 8,000th Baskin-Robbins store location right here in Thousand Oaks and to be part of such a key milestone for the brand,” said store franchisee Doug Morgan. “Thousand Oaks is a close-knit community and I look forward to serving local residents and giving them the opportunity to enjoy Baskin-Robbins frozen treats with their friends and family for many years to come.” Baskin-Robbins was founded in Glendale in 1945 and is now owned by Dunkin’ Brands Group Inc., which is headquartered in Canton, Mass.
