A holographic advertising display, powered by Chatsworth-based Provision Interactive Technologies Inc., will be available on Coinstar LLC’s coin-counting kiosks in most Giant Eagle supermarkets, Coinstar announced Tuesday. Coinstar customers at participating stores in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia will now see 3D ads and receive coupons for instore savings. “More than ever, consumers seek value and convenience and we’re very pleased to partner with Provision and Giant Eagle to provide an innovative and immediate way for customers to access savings on top brands in the store,” Coinstar Chief Executive Jim Gaherity said in a statement. Provision Interactive Technologies creates high resolution 3D display systems that don’t require special glasses. It holds more than 10 patents for its holographic technology. Shares of Provision (PVHO) were unchanged Tuesday at 2 cents a share on the over-the-counter market.
