Casamba Launches HomeTherapy Portal

Casamba, an electronic medical record provider based in Agoura Hills, has launched its HomeTherapy portal to help connect home health agencies to the wider health care network, according to a statement from the company on Tuesday. Therapy organizations like Kentucky-based Paragon Rehab pay a monthly fee for HomeTherapy, while other organizations adhere to a per-visit pricing model, according to Luis Montes, senior vice president of strategic partnerships at Casamba. Montes did not release a specific price, saying they vary by organization. With the new portal, specialists such as therapists and at-home hospice agencies can input e-referrals and share rehab-related patient information through one service. “With HomeTherapy, we’ve created a web-based, home therapy documentation portal that therapists can use on or offline from anywhere,” said Montes. “Because HomeTherapy offers a streamlined documentation process and improves coordination of care, health care providers can spend more time with patients and complete their work faster.” Additional features will be added to the portal in the next couple weeks, including analytics tools.
