The Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce has announced the recipients of its annual Recognition Awards. The Valley region’s largest chamber has selected Thousand Oaks’ Mustang Marketing as its 2019 Business of the Year award recipient and Westlake Village’s Express Employment Professionals (known as Express Pro) as the Chamber’s 2019 Corporate Sponsor of the Year. In addition to businesses, the chamber has named BrightStar Insurance agent Catarina Haydt of Thousand Oaks as its 2019 Ambassador of the Year; and Thousand Oaks Police Chief Tim Hagel, a crucial leader during last November’s Borderline bar mass shooting and Woolsey and Hill fires, as its 2019 Man of Year. The Chamber will also honor outgoing Chairman Chris Shaver, founder of the Thousand Oaks-based dealership Shaver Automotive Group. The awards will be presented at the chamber’s annual 2019 Recognition Gala on March 1 at the Hyatt Regency Westlake in Westlake Village.
