Tech Manager Hires New CTO

Tylie Ad Solutions has brought on Steve Brown as its new chief technology officer. For the Burbank post-production and media delivery service, Brown will develop operational and service-based systems that optimize client workflows and increase their operating margins. Brown has more than 25 years experience in the media industry. A software development expert with a fascination for production systems optimization, he helped develop the advertising distribution platform Javelin while working with Warner Bros. Entertainment and Deluxe Entertainment, both in Burbank. After Javelin was acquired by Adstream, with offices in Burbank, Brown was first chief technology officer and later chief operating officer for the advertising software developer. Tylie President Sheri Lawrence said in a statement, “Steve is a thought leader in our industry with real vision. As we continue to provide our partners with customized solutions to their workload and workflow needs, Steve’s development experience and future-forward thinking will be invaluable.” Tylie Ad Solutions was founded in 1971 by Tylie Jones and was among the first woman-owned advertising agencies in a male-dominated industry. Its services include cross-channel advertising campaigns, handling clearance issues, and post-production services such as custom voiceover work, closed captioning and subtitles. Among the company’s clients are Facebook Inc.; Farmers Insurance Group in Woodland Hills; and IHOP, owned by Dine Brands Global Inc. in Glendale.
