John J. Kennedy Joins Airport Authority

John J. Kennedy has joined the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority, replacing Pasadena Mayor Terry Tornek, who stepped down on July 20. Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority owns and operates Hollywood Burbank Airport. In 2019, the airport served more than 5.9 million passengers with flights to 17 nonstop destinations. Kennedy is a member of the Pasadena City Council and principal executive of JJKennedy & Associates, a consulting firm specializing in issues management, grant-writing, executive coaching, contract and business diversity, business resiliency and real estate investing. He previously worked at the Los Angeles Urban League, Southern California Edison Inc. and Countrywide Home Loans Inc. Kennedy has served on numerous boards, including the Tom Bradley Legacy Foundation at UCLA; Black Alumni Association Council at USC; the National Finance Committee for the President of the United States; and the National Finance Committee for Joseph R. Biden.
