71-Unit Apartment Complex Proposed for Sun Valley

North Hollywood developer Sahaco Inc. has filed plans with the city of Los Angeles for a new residential complex in Sun Valley that would bring 71 market-rate apartments online. The project at 8465 N. Glenoaks Blvd. would require a zone change and the demolition of existing buildings for the construction of a three-story, 101,000-square-foot apartment building. Of late, Sun Valley has been a hotbed of apartment development, including 51 units across 51,000 square feet at 8554 N. Glenoaks Blvd. There are also a pair of mixed-use residential structures proposed for 7401 Lankershim Blvd.; a five-story building which would see 108 apartments plus shops on the Sun Valley/North Hollywood border; and Lankershim Crossing at 7940 Lankershim Blvd., a seven-story complex with 432 units plus ground-floor retail.
