A Calabasas law firm has changed its name to Oberg Law Group, thanks to the addition of Madison Oberg as partner. The firm, which specializes in business transactions, real estate and insolvency, was formerly known as the Law Offices of David Lawrence Oberg. “My father and I had joked about my joining ‘Oberg Law’ ever since I first decided to attend law school. Needless to say, when the opportunity came to finally join the firm as a partner, I was thrilled with the idea,” Madison Oberg said in a statement. “Most recently I was at a firm that served as corporate counsel for some unique small businesses and I have worked extensively on business transactions here in Southern California.” The firm’s newest partner is a graduate of Pepperdine Caruso Law School in Malibu. “We are very fortunate that our workload has increased significantly, so it was time to expand to satisfy our clients’ demands,” David Oberg, managing partner, said in a statement. “Many of my clients have worked with me since the firm’s inception in 1996. In some cases, I am now working with the client’s next generation … it only seemed natural for my daughter, Madison, to join the team.”
