Cushman & Wakefield Opens First North L.A. Office

Real estate brokerage Cushman & Wakefield Pacific has opened an office in Santa Clarita. Tucker Brown has been hired as associate director for the office, located at 25350 Magic Mountain Parkway. The Santa Clarita office marks the first Cushman & Wakefield flag in North Los Angeles. Cushman & Wakefield already had several Southern California locations, including offices in downtown Los Angeles, West Los Angeles, Ontario, Long Beach and Irvine.   Brown will focus on industrial and office sales and leasing, as well as land sales.  “Santa Clarita is a very dynamic market and has grown dramatically as an extension of Southern California. It is now on Bakersfield’s doorstep and thus a natural extension for us,” Cushman & Wakefield Pacific President Vincent Roche said in a statement. “The commercial real estate firm has brokered commercial real estate transactions for years in the nearby Antelope Valley and believes (Cushman & Wakefield Pacific) could be a meaningful addition to Santa Clarita’s marketplace.” Associated with CBRE from 1999 through 2011, Brown left real estate for the automotive industry, where he worked as the finance manager for local Chevrolet and Lexus dealerships.  Brown said in a statement that he was excited about his return to real estate. “I’m quite excited by this new opportunity,” Brown said. “I’ve missed the commercial real estate brokerage industry, and the COVID lockdowns have given me pause and allowed me to reflect. I realized how much I missed commercial real estate brokerage.”Cushman & Wakefield Pacific also operates a property management division, although this function will not be part of the initial service offering at the Santa Clarita office.   “We’ll be looking for those opportunities, though,” Roche said. Cushman & Wakefield (CWK) is publicly traded company based in Bakersfield. Shares of closed down 2 cents, or less than 0.2 percent, to $17.04 on the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday, a day when the Dow Jones industrial average closed up 0.6 percent and the Nasdaq closed up 0.4 percent.
