Burbank broadcaster Estrella Media on Monday announced it has selected Google Ad Manager to monetize its live and on demand streaming TV platforms.

The Spanish-language media team will use Google Ad Manager for its free ad-supported streaming platforms, new video distribution, EstrellaTV website and its YouTube content.

The Google tool helps publishers grow digital revenue across multiple viewing devices, Estrella said.

Christina Chung, recently appointed vice president of technical services and revenue operations at Estrella, serves as key liaison with Google.

“Partnering with Google Ad Manager to deliver free ad-supported content to Hispanic audiences anytime, anywhere ensures our access to best-in-industry tech and staying in front. We are also thrilled to have Christina Chung lead this important ad tech initiative with Google and move us to the forefront of the Spanish-language streaming marketplace,” René Santaella, vice president of digital and streaming media at Estrella, said in a statement.

“We’re excited to be a part of the digital transformation at Estrella Media as Google Ad Manager supports its mission to serve the Hispanic community with free ad-supported programming across platforms,” added Brian Jankovsky, director of entertainment and streaming partnerships at Google.

Estrella owns 17 radio stations and 10 television stations.
