PSI Talent Management Acquires Two Digital Learning Companies

PSI Talent Management, a job applicant testing and talent management company in Glendale, recently acquired Solvably and Digital Skills Lab (dlab) for an undisclosed amount.

Solvably is a digital learning platform and dlab is a self-grading platform that helps users learn computer applications. Both assets formerly belonged to MassiveU, social learning platform-as-a-service company.

Solvably and dlab are used to enhance PSI’s own learning system, named AIM, by creating collaborative learning environments with real world applications. The system is a job-related competency development program that provides personalized learning for employees.

“There has never been a greater need to drive a deeper learning experience and lasting behavioral change for upskilling and reskilling via innovative digital collaborative and engaging experiences than now,” Angelo Biasi, MassiveU’s chief executive, said in a statement. “We are pleased to add the differentiating value that Solvably and dlab bring to PSI’s client base as we collectively transform at scale.”

PSI Senior Vice President Brad Kendall said in a statement that PSI and Solvably present a solution for the challenge of distanced and space learning.

“Often, when people think about working and learning in a virtual world, they think about what may be missing in terms of social learning,” Kendall said. “Creating a collaborative learning environment that models our working world today means that being ‘distributed’ doesn’t have to mean being ‘disconnected.’”
