$22 million pipeline for recycled water approved

LANCASTER – A plan to build a recycled water distribution system in the Antelope Valley took another step forward last week when county leaders gave their approval to start work on a water “backbone” that will connect water processing plants in Palmdale and Lancaster. The “backbone,” a large water main, will eventually be the center of a recycled water distribution system that will provide more than 4 billion gallons of recycled water every year to parks, traffic medians and other users, said Dan Lafferty, head of the Los Angeles County Office of Water Recycling.
