Camarillo-based semiconductor manufacturer, Advanced Photonix, Inc. reported a 263% increase in net earnings and revenues shot up 69% in the third quarter. For the period ending December 25, 2005, Advanced Photonix had net earnings of $127,000, or $0.01 per share on revenues of $6,511,000 versus the $35,000, or $0.003 per share on revenues of $3,852,000 for the same period in fiscal 2005. Advanced Photonix attributed the third-quarter increases to high sales in the telecommunications, industrial sensing and homeland security and aerospace markets. The company also acquired Picometrix, which will help the company expand into the homeland security market.
