Thousand Oaks biotech company Amgen Inc. announced that it earned $689 million or $0.53 per share on revenue of $2.9 billion in the fourth quarter of 2004, up 26 percent from earnings of $547 million or $0.41 per share a year ago. The company’s adjusted income, accounting for two acquisitions and other special circumstances, was $0.58 per share on revenue of $749 million. Those numbers missed analyst’s expectations by $0.03. The company expects 2005 revenues to grow in the high single digits to low teens range.
