SACRAMENTO – City officials in Lancaster and Palmdale say their respective cities will pass a resolution in the upcoming weeks, denouncing another attempt by the state to seize local government funds in an attempt to fix its budget problems. The state’s Budget Conference Committee approved taking two years of local Highway User Tax Account funds last week, further proving its intent to use city and county money to close its budget gap.
