Aviation Veteran Named to Head LAWA

The former aviation director of the Seattle area airport was named Thursday as the new chief of Los Angeles World Airports. Gina Marie Lindsey was chosen for the position for her experience, ability to build bridges and a vision to move the area’s airports forward, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said. Lindsey has 16 years experience in airport management, including serving as aviation director for Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, and with McBee Strategic Consulting, LLC, where she was responsible for establishing and expanding an aviation lobbying and consulting practice. Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) owns and operates Los Angeles International Airport, Van Nuys Airport, LA/Ontario International Airport and LA/Palmdale Regional Airport.
