A former Moorpark businessman was convicted of five counts of tax evasion in Los Angeles federal court on Thursday. Giancarlo Pertile, who owned and operated Art Marble Design Inc. until 2002, failed to report profits generated from his business, said Michael Moriarty, a special agent for the Internal Revenue Service in Los Angeles.
