CaminoSoft Stumbles

CaminoSoft Corp. lost $221,537 or $0.02 per share in its fiscal first quarter ended Dec. 31, as the company’s efforts to expand its sales base fell short of expectations. Calling the results disappointing, the Westlake Village-based storage software developer said its efforts to expand its sales base have taken more time than anticipated. CaminoSoft has been working to expand its customer base from the small- and mid-sized businesses the company has traditionally served to larger, enterprise organizations. Officials said that the time for identifying and selling through to those accounts is longer than it is for its traditional customers. CaminoSoft’s loss compares with a net loss of $258,810 or $0.02 per share a year ago. Net sales for the fiscal first quarter fell to $470,213 compared with net sales of $571,750 last year.
