Delays Hurt Brace Maker Sales

Production delays will affect the second quarter sales at spine protection equipment manufacturer Leatt Corp., the company announced. The Valencia-based firm would not give exact figures but said that gross sales would be down because delays in outsourced factories prevented the shipment of nearly 8,000 braces used by participants in motor sports. The company expects to recoup the sales in the third quarter, said CEO Chris Leatt. “We take the manufacturing processes of our brace products very seriously, in order to produce the finest neck brace products possible,” Leatt said. “The revision of production process is intended to enhance our overall delivery of quality products.” Enhanced marketing campaigns will increase the visibility of Leatt’s products and new products will be introduced in 2010.
