Digital Theater Systems Inc. has opened two digital sound encoding facilities in Hong Kong and Buenos Aires to service the local film markets in China and Argentina. DTS, based in Agoura Hills, will base its offices in existing facilities for Media Business Services Ltd., Hong Kong, and FX Design, Buenos Aires. The additions bring to 15 the number of international DTS facilities, which are located in the U.K., France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico and Thailand as well as the U.S., Hong Kong and Argentina. DTS provides surround sound technology services for filmmakers.
