DTS Inc. and Zoran Corp. signed a new licensing agreement following the settlement of a lawsuit between the two companies. Settling the lawsuit will have a positive impact on the financials of Agoura Hills-based DTS, company officials said. “We believe that our investment in pursuing these matters was critical to support our long-term interests and those of our licensee partners,” said President and CEO Jon Kirchner. The litigation related to Sunnyvale-based Zoran’s misuse of technology developed by DTS and the company’s refusal to grant Zoran a license to develop integrated circuits for the Blu-ray player market.
