Easton Sports Inc. and Riddell Bell Holdings have merged, forming Easton-Bell Sports Inc., the two companies said today. The newly formed company will generate more than $600 million in annual revenues. Easton, based in Van Nuys, manufactures and markets baseball, softball, hockey and cycling equipment for professional athletes and enthusiasts. Riddell Bell, based in Dallas, develops helmets and related accessories. It is the National Football league’s official helmet supplier. The company was formed in 2004 through the merger of Bell Sports Corp. and Riddell Sports Group. Jim Easton will be chairman of the combined company. The merger is expected to be completed later in this quarter.
