Ventura County Supervisors have approved a new health care services center in Simi Valley. Plans call for the East County Health Care Services Center call for a 33,000-square-foot complex to be constructed in the Mountain Gate shopping center at Los Angeles Avenue and First Street. The facility will house cardiology, diabetes, urgent care and radiology services in addition to an outpatient clinic operated by the county. The complex will be able to handle as many as 50,000 visits a year. It replaces the aging Sierra Vista Family Medical Center also in Simi Valley.
