IHOP Sales Increase

Sales at IHOP Corp. increased 4.3 percent for the fourth quarter of 2004 and 5.3 percent for the full year ended Dec. 31, the company said. The same store sales results come as IHOP completes a restructuring, including changes in its franchise program and a reorganization of its company-owned stores. “Our performance clearly demonstrates that our energizing strategies continue to product solid results,” said Julia A. Stewart, IHOP president and CEO, “not only in our same store sales, but also in the improved effectiveness of our marketing, operations and training initiatives. The Glendale-based operator of family restaurants did not release its sales data. Revenues along with IHOP’s full financial report are due to be released on February 24.
