Chatsworth-based Image Entertainment Inc., an independent DVD licensee, producer and distributor, has acquired the rights to distribute over a dozen comedy DVD titles to be produced by Just For Laughs. The agreement will allow Image to distribute material from Just For Laughs stand-up comic archives, as well as footage from their international television show, “Just For Laughs Gags.” Production of both Gags and Stand-Up Series DVDs has already begun, with the first titles expected in stores in time for the fourth quarter holiday season. Comics in the Just For Laughs archive include Dave Chappelle, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock and Jon Stewart.
