Lancaster to Offer Car Registration Rebates

The city of Lancaster will offer a vehicle registration rebate program as part of its Local Economic Stimulus Package, which is expected to generate $110 million for the area. Under this program, which kicked off March 1, anyone who purchases new vehicles at the Lancaster Auto Mall can have their vehicle registration fees rebated by the city. The rebate program is expected to spur $21 million of sales at the Lancaster Auto Mall. “At a time when we all need to work together to improve the economy, this new Stimulus Package is structured to include businesses and citizens working together to provide a much needed jump start to our local economy,” stated Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris. “The effective cost of buying a car will be cheaper in Lancaster than anywhere else.” Nadra Kareem
