Meet

San Fernando Valley-area companies wishing to sell their goods overseas can learn about entering international markets at a June 25 conference organized by the Economic Alliance of the San Fernando Valley. The all-day event is designed to put executives from Valley companies under the same roof as municipal, state and federal officials whose agencies are charged with promoting foreign trade. Officials from the California Trade & Commerce Agency, the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Export Small Business Development Center will be on hand to speak about how to look for markets in other countries and how to find potential customers. Representatives from banks and other financial institutions will speak on how to seek financing for international trade, and officials from Los Angeles ports and airports will address the actual transport of goods. The conference will be held at the Universal City Hilton & Towers beginning at 8 a.m., with registration starting at 7:30 a.m. For more information, or to make reservations, call Economic Alliance at (818) 782-7738.
