Regional accounting giant Miller, Kaplan, Arase & Co. LLP, of North Hollywood, announced today that it has merged with Sherman Oaks-based Wolinsky, Becker & Hurewitz, LLP. No name change is in the cards for Miller Kaplan, but the smaller accountancy will now be called Wolinsky & Becker, a Division of Miller, Kaplan, Arase & Co. LLP. Miller, Kaplan, Arase & Co. is the largest firm in the region, with 79 CPAs in the Valley, as well as offices in Las Vegas, Seattle and San Francisco. Miller, Kaplan, Arase & Co. covers a wide range of practice areas, from tax and audit, to business consulting and lobbying. The firm has a client roll that is heavy with entertainment companies. Wolinsky & Becker’s main focus is on the royalties practice area of accounting. Thom Senzee
