Website Movies.com and entertainment trade publication Variety announced Tuesday a cross-distribution agreement to provide content both online and in print. The “Tipsters” news area at Movies.com will now include movie-related news stories from Variety. Items from Movies.com “Buzz Bin” section will be included daily at Variety.com and weekly in the print edition of Daily Variety. Movies.com is operated by the Walt Disney Internet Group and located in North Hollywood. Variety and Variety.com are owned by Reed Business Information, the largest business-to-business publisher in the nation. Movies.com Vice President Dan Sherlock said the partnership shows the site’s commitment to connecting users with the most relevant entertainment information. “We revamped our site last year and this relationship continues the expansion of movie news coverage that fans can find on Movies.com,” Sherlock said.
