BANKING Countrywide Bank announced two promotions in its executive ranks. Bruce Steckel has been promoted to managing director, commercial banking. In that role Steckel serves as the officer responsible for depository strategy. He joined Countrywide in 2003. Todd Gregory has been promoted to executive vice president and industry manager. In that position he is responsible for spearheading the commercial sales division. Gregory joined Countrywide in 2005. ENTERTAINMENT Kevin McCormick has been promoted to president, production of Warner Bros. Pictures. In that position, McCormick assumes day-to-day responsibility for Warner Bros. Pictures’ creative team and the development of the movies produced by the company. He previously served as executive vice president, production of the company. McCormick joined Warner Bros. in 1999. Mike Levy has been named as executive vice president for The Post Group. In this role, Levy supervises business development and marketing for The Post Group and its sister companies, which includes locations in Burbank and Valencia. Levy previously served as vice president of long form post services. Ken Werner has been named as the president of the newly formed division consolidating the two domestic television distribution divisions of Warner Bros. In that role Werner will oversee the sale of first-run syndicated programs, off-network programs and feature films to local television stations, and pay, cable, satellite and broadcast networks. Barbara Olson has been named general manager of adult entertainment firm Sin City. She previously served as head of the digital media department for the Chatsworth-based company. Sonia Borris had been promoted to senior vice president, marketing and operations, for Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Marketing. In that position, Borris is responsible for the day to day operations of the group and supervising business operations, marketing, promotions, product integration, and client services teams. Prior to the promotion, Borris served as vice president of market and promotions for the company. INSURANCE Leslie Margolin has been named as president and general manager of Blue Cross California, based in Woodland Hills. Margolin previously served as senior vice president for health plan and hospital operations for Kaiser Permanente. MANUFACTURING John Buckett has been appointed interim CEO of Interlink Electronics Inc. He will serve in that position until a permanent replacement is found. Buckett was named chairman of the Interlink board of directors in September. David Carley has been promoted to vice president of sales and marketing for Red Rocket Inc., a power conversion products company based in Camarillo. In that position, Carley is responsible for all global sales and marketing. He is based out of the company’s office in Ireland. Prior to the promotion, Carley was director of sales and marketing for Europe, Middle East and Asia. MARKETING Chris DeMoulin has been appointed as executive vice president of the fashion group of Advanstar Communications Inc. and as president of MAGIC International, a subsidiary of Advanstar. Prior to joining Woodland Hills-based Advanstar, DeMouin was executive vice president of marketing at Walden Media. TECHNOLOGY Larry Goodman has joined Xytech Systems Corp. as senior account manager. In that position Goodman is responsible for the company’s new and existing customers in the western US region. Prior to joining Xytech, Goodman was director of facilities/operations for Technicolor Content Services. Venbrook Insurance Services in Woodland Hills has made additions to its executive ranks. Mark Ruggles has been named as president. In that position he is responsible for all sales and operations of the company’s brokerage unit. Prior to joining Venbrook, Ruggles served as executive vice president at CalSurance. Greg Hill has been named as chief financial officer of Venbrook Group. He previously served as senior vice president and western region controller of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. SALES Peter Godinez has been appointed as director or technology sales and solutions at Imaging Technologies Direct. In this position, Godinez is responsible for leading and managing the outside sales for the company’s products. Prior to joining ITD, Godinez worked for Xerox Corp., Richoh Business Systems, Sharp and Hewlett Packard. John Florian has been named as sales manager for Third World Media and Combat Zone, two adult entertainment firms based in Chatsworth. Florian has worked in sales since 1993 at Sin City Films, Homegrown Video, and Private. Raymond de Graaf has been appointed as vice president of operations at Ixia, a manufacturer of performance test systems based in Calabasas. In that position, de Graaf oversees growing, managing and integrating global operations. Prior to joining Ixia, de Graaf served as vice president and general manager of Precision Communications. Jeff Tumbleson has been appointed to the board of directors of Aspyra Inc., a Calabasas-based provider of services to the health care industry. Tumbleson is vice president of Outpatient Imaging Affiliates. He replaces Steven M. Besbeck, who resigned from the Aspyra board at the end of 2007. PUBLISHING MJ McMahon has been promoted to publisher of AVN Online. He previously served as co-publisher, associate publisher and associate editor. Sherri L. Shaulis has been named as editor of AVN Online. Shalis was previous editor in chief at Gold Country Media and a reporter for The Vindicator in Youngstown, Ohio.
