NEWSMAKERS Automotive Superior Industries International Inc. has named Don Youngblood president of the company’s Aftermarket Accessories Division. Youngblood joins Superior after serving since 1997 as president and CEO of Cadna Automotive, an automotive aftermarket manufacturer based in Memphis. Previously he was president and CEO of FrictionMaster Inc., a brake friction manufacturer and re-builder he founded in 1993. Energy Capstone Turbine Corp. has hired Mory Houshmand as vice president of sales and business development for Asia, South America and Africa. Houshmand has been involved in the gas and power industries at Williams Companies for 22 years. He created several new businesses and concepts at Williams, including the establishment of the Williams Distributed Power Systems subsidiary. Engineering Tekera Group LLC of Camarillo has named Eric Matsuura vice president of manufacturing and Tom Welz national sales manager of the point of purchase display division. Matsuura was formerly vice president of R & S; Sales of Newbury Park and Welz was a national accounts representative for Felbro Inc. Entertainment Brian Moreno has been named vice president, strategic marketing, Warner Bros. Online. In his new position, Moreno will head the marketing efforts for the division’s entertainment Web site, as well as oversee Warner Bros. Online’s overall strategic partnerships, branding, advertising, promotions and public relations. Moreno joins Warner Bros. Online from Style365.com, where he served as chief marketing officer. Before that, he was executive vice president, worldwide video, Playboy Entertainment Group. Paul Yanover has been named senior vice president and general manager of The Walt Disney Company’s newly formed business unit, Buena Vista Game Entertainment Studio. Yanover will oversee all aspects of operations, including business, creative and product development, and strategic planning for the newly created entity. Formerly vice president of technology and digital production at Disney, Yanover was responsible for all aspects of technology, including technical development, software development and support. Human Resources Alan Lasky has been named vice president of sales for InfoLink Screening Services Inc. He will be responsible for the oversight and development of the sales department. Prior to joining InfoLink, he was director of sales and marketing for Dr. Koop LifeCare. David Nadell has been named director of marketing for InfoLink Screening Services Inc. He will be responsible for the oversight and development of the marketing division, including strategic planning, advertising and strategic alliances. Prior to joining InfoLink, he was director of business development for Excite@home. Law Keith Todd Zimmett has been named managing shareholder of the Encino-based law firm Lewitt, Hackman, Shapiro, Marshall & Harlan. Zimmett has been with the first since 1991. Real Estate Irene Meltzer has been named vice president and branch manager of the new Sherman Oaks office of Chicago Title. Technology Vertel Corp. has announced that Toni Graham, vice president and general manager, has been appointed to a three-year term on the board of directors of the Object Management Group (OMG). Graham will participate in activities that set the OMG strategy. Sherman Oaks-based New.net has appointed John E. Labbett its chief financial officer. Labbett was most recently at Millennium Technical Group and, immediately previous to that, was executive vice president and CFO of Egghead.com. New.net acts as an alternative domain name provider, providing extensions such as .golf, .tech and other domain name extensions. Walt Mosher, founder and president of Precision Dynamics Corp., has received VICA’s annual Harman Ballin Award.
