Numotech Inc. announced that it has signed a national distribution agreement with Airgas Puritan Medical, which will serve as exclusive U.S. oxygen supplier to Numotech for its Numobag. The Numobag is a disposable, lightweight, wound-healing device which delivers hyperbaric oxygen therapy and is used for treating serious chemical, radiological or biologically induced wounds in the event of a terrorist attack. The device was used to successfully treat some burn victims following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, and following that the company received a world-wide, five-year contract for the sale of the device. It’s currently used by the military, and is being considered by the Department of Homeland Security.
