PCS1, a North Hollywood telecommunications company, has purchased First World Connect and Free Choice Communications, both divisions of TGEC Communications in San Mateo. The company has added about 12,500 residential phone lines to its customer base. Before the acquisitions, PCS1 specialized in providing small and medium-sized businesses local and long-distance services and services like voice messaging and ISDN/DSL Internet access. “This acquisition allows PCS1 to enter into the California residential market with a proven product by acquiring a premier 10-year-old telephone company,” said Devin Semler, President and CEO of PCS1 in a news release. The company is preparing to launch a new residential campaign to sign up new residential customers later this month.
