Precision Dynamics Corp. has expanded its hospital wristband product line with the acquisition of an Illinois company. Details of the deal between San Fernando-based Precision Dynamics and TimeMed Labeling Systems Inc. of Burr Ridge, Ill. were not disclosed. With the acquisition, Precision Dynamics can offer wristbands and specialty labels with direct contact with laboratory, pharmacy and information technology systems to accurately identify and track patients, enhance communications between caregivers, and improve the safety of dispensing medications. “Our vision is to deliver the best patient safety solutions to hospitals and healthcare providers worldwide,” said Precision President and CEO Gary Hutchinson. Chicago-based Water Street Healthcare Partners, an investor in Precision Dynamics, brought the two companies together.
