Second NetZero Founder Joins Jambo

Jambo, a young Internet search technology company founded in May, announced the appointment of NetZero co-founder Stacy Haitsuka as Chief Information Officer. Haitsuka will join his fellow NetZero co-founder, Ronald Burr, who is Jambo’s Chief Strategic Officer. Haitsuka had been semi-retired, serving on the board of EdenTree Technologies and working as a private investor through Westlake Venture Partners. He served as Chief Technology Officer for NetZero, and following his work with that company he helped several small companies and startups as an investor and advisor. He also is listed as an inventor on several issued and pending patents related to Internet advertising. “I’m tremendously excited about Jambo’s new business model and our strategy to generate local search revenue via its proprietary technology,” Haitsuka said in a news release. “Local search has been difficult to monetize in the past, but we’re confident that our approach will meet the needs of all the parties involved local businesses, consumers and our partner providers alike.” Jambo is a spin-off of JamboTECH, developing technology aimed at major firms like Yahoo!, Google and other search engines, designed to draw even more advertising dollars from local companies.
