SnoreStop Launches New Ad Campaign

SnoreStop is at it again. The Westlake Village-based pharmaceutical company that earlier this year gave $37,375 to Andrew Fischer, a Nebraska 20-year old for putting their logo on his forehead for a month, has announced plans to give another $37,375 to the next “forehead guy,” “forehead girl,” or “forehead couple.” Christian de Rivel, the company’s vice-president of sales and marketing, said that due to an overwhelming amount of requests to be the next “forehead person,” the company decided to conduct an “Apprentice”-style search similar to the TV show. “Since the first SnoreStop campaign, we’ve sustained 50 percent growth over the last year. We’ve had hundreds of requests over the last six months,” de Rivel said. “Everyone has written to us: poker players, NASCAR racers, golf pros, to everyday people that just want to make some easy money. There’s a big reservoir of good will.” De Rivel has numbers to back up his words. In a SnoreStop-commissioned June survey conducted in Canada by the Canadian marketing and research firm Leger, approximately 25 percent of the Canadian population had at least heard about SnoreStop and Fischer’s forehead advertising campaign. and they did calls to over 1,600 people across all demographics. But the most interesting thing about the survey that among Canadian 18 to 35 year olds, 80 percent of them would’ve worn a tattoo on their foreheads for 5,000 Canadian dollars,” de Rivel said. “I saw the data and knew that there would be a large demand in the United States as well.” The first interview session will be held on August 12 from 9 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles. Interested applicants can apply online at Monster.com, HotJobs.com, and CareerBuilder.com. SnoreStop expects between 800 and 1,000 applicants to attend, with interview dates for people on the East Coast a later possibility. Finalists will be announced on September 30, and the next “forehead person,” will be revealed on October 3.
