Nestle USA Inc. in Glendale has notified the state of layoffs at its Glendale headquarters to take place through October. According to the Employment Development Department, the food and drinks manufacturer will cut its workforce by 340 employees. Many of the jobs are retail sales representatives and customer development account managers. The first round of layoffs was expected to take place in late August, with others to follow Sept. 13 and Sept. 20 and the final one on Oct. 18. Shares in Nestle closed down at $44.32.
